The series of 31 silkscreened secondhand shirts titled „This Aggregate Of Images That Is The Universe (MERCH)“ is celebrating some of the thinkers, writers, filmmakers and astronomers who have inspired my most recent film installation „This Aggregate Of Images That Is The Universe (STARS)“ (2025, 26min). The text printed inside both cuffs acknowledges the ways in which they have influenced my work.

The holes in the shirts have been perforated by hand and are based on the star constellation called „Small Magellanic Cloud“. Undermining the actual purpose of a garment (protection), the holes in the fabric become a sort of glitch that partially reveals the body behind the „office shirt“. The perforation also stands in direct connection to the perforated screen of the film installation, which allows for the projected light to leak through.

Each one of the shirts is a unique piece, various sizes and patterns are available. Please take into consideration that the fabric around the edges of the holes might alter and dissolve with time. Please wash with max. 30°C.
